The 'Best of Karen' Business Awards was held on 28th October at Hermosa Garden Hotel Grounds. The Gala Awards brought more than 178 business owners and associates who conglomerated at the hotel to network, find new business opportunities and appreciate and celebrate distinguished women and men driving the Karen businesses forward. The Awards gala ceremony was attended by men and women who have tirelessly worked hard to grow and scale up their businesses and put the entire Karen community not only on the national map but also on the international scale.
The Best of Karen Awards was the culmination of various behind-the-scenes processes that included the nomination of various businesses, online voting, and the final selection of winners through a verified and transparent process. The Awards Ceremony brought together 26 categories of businesses that offer distinct products and services.
The Best of Karen Awards Gala Ceremony commenced with the visitors registering and picking up their name tags at the reception desk. It was then followed by a networking session at the Hotel’s ballroom. This was followed by an articulate dance by children from Dance Centre Kenya who “wowed” guests with their creative performance arts and dance. Thereafter, the MC, Vincent Ochieng who happened to be the Awards Manager and the main organizer of the event took through the guests with the day’s program and commenced the program by recognizing all the guests and businesses that had attended the event.
To cut a long story short, I am sure I don’t dilute this article. The climax of the event was marked by the announcement of the winners of all the 26 business categories that were voted for. The event was filled with fanfare that has never been witnessed before. The winners had a chance to be escorted to the podium to receive their awards. This was followed by a series of photo sessions as the DJ played cool music in the background.
The general ambiance of the event, I must say exceeded expectations. The entire set and the dinner were top-notch. I must say it was a world-class event. From the performances, awards presentations, and food. I must admit this was the most outstanding Gala Awards Ceremony I have ever attended in Karen.
